Jamaican Civic & Cultural Association of Rockland, Inc. (JAMCCAR) is a non-profit organization which was established in 1992 in Rockland County and its environs offers myriad educational, cultural and social programs for residents of Rockland County, New York.

Community Outreach

JAMCCAR has been empowering the economic, political and social development of the Jamaican-American community. The organization promotes unity among Jamaicans, Caribbeans, Africans and other diaspora cultures. The organization gives back to the community by offering opportunities to graduating high school seniors to apply for scholarship awards.

Network Opportunities

Throughout the years, JAMCCAR, in association with members of African diaspora communities, has offered networking and entrepreneurial opportunities to its members and to the broader Rockland community. The organization meets monthly via Zoom.

Scholarship Awards

JAMCCAR has awarded over 130 scholarships to talented and economically challenged students throughout the years. The organization salutes all our students on their academic accomplishments, community service and their ability to be role models to our County. Our students strive for excellence and have succeeded in college, even as many have pursued careers in law, education, medicine and business.
