As we step into our role as Co-Presidents, we stand at the crossroads of change and jubilation.
JAMCCAR CELEBRATES OUR 35th ANNIVERSARY OF SERVICE IN THE CARIBBEAN DIASPORA with PASSION • PROGRESS • PURPOSE – A MILESTONE .

It is a time to honor the unwavering spirit, resilience and impactful contributions of our past Presidents. We are deeply honored to serve, and celebrate the legacy, leadership and vision of them and their Boards.

Within JAMCCAR we take pride in being integral to a community that esteems service.

JAMCCAR’s dedication is an investment in empowering our youth and maintaining the vitality of our programs and fostering community growth.

Over the years, JAMCCAR has long been a leader in youth development, contributing over $300,000 in Scholarship Awards to college-bound high school seniors, entering the first year in college.

In the coming years, our Priorities will be :

  • "GIRLS REACHING ALL CONCEPTS OF EXCELLENCE” (G.R.A.C.E.) MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
  • ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
  • EXPANSION OF THE EKKLIPSE STEEL BAND with an After School Program component.
  • MONTHLY COMMUNITY - Based Programs with a focus on vital issues, including Health and Wellness, Financial Literacy. Economic Empowerment and Legislative Advocacy

Our Goals will be:

  • TO BUILD A STRONGER AND INCLUSIVE ORGANIZATION
  • INCREASE MEMBERSHIP
  • TO STRENGTHEN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
  • SUCESSION PLANNING
  • TO UPHOLD THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE Of JAMCCAR - Outlined in our mission statement " to foster good relations and close association with Jamaicans and friends in Rockland County and its environs, with a purpose in promoting the civic, economic, and cultural aspects of the Jamaican, Caribbean and Pan-African cultures."

So, we will “MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER” for the betterment of all, shaping the minds and futures of all generations.
